If you work in Sitapura Industrial Area

Live in Jagatpura. It's the closest well-developed residential area to both, which turns a potentially draining daily commute into a short, predictable ride. Jagatpura is best known as a student area (JNU and VIT Jaipur are here), but that's precisely what keeps it affordable, well-served, and lively — and a growing share of its residents are young professionals interning at or graduating into the Sitapura companies. Bonus logistics: Getor Jagatpura railway station is about 3 km away for trips home, and the airport is roughly 8 km — a real perk if your job involves travel.

If you work around World Trade Park or central Jaipur

Live in Malviya Nagar. It's the established neighbourhood adjacent to WTP, with the best all-round connectivity in this part of the city — many WTP-area commutes shrink to minutes. Malviya Nagar also offers the most professional-friendly lifestyle in Jaipur's south: proper cafes for weekend laptop sessions, restaurants, WTP's shopping and cinema, and mature, well-lit residential lanes. You pay more than in Jagatpura, and for a working salary the trade is often worth it.

What a Professional Needs From a PG (That a Student Might Not)

3. A real kitchen, zero food policing

After a long workday, being forced onto a mess schedule is grim. The professional-grade setup is a proper self-cook kitchen — ours are modular with chimney, induction, gas, and RO water — plus tiffin-friendliness and no compulsory mess. Cook Sunday meal-prep, order a tiffin on heavy weeks, eat out on Fridays. Your food, your call.

4. Sleep-quality basics

An AC room (Jaipur summers are not negotiable), an attached washroom, and a proper mattress (ours are 8-inch) are the difference between recovering overnight and arriving at work tired. 5. Clean, professional terms

You have a salary and a notice period at work; expect the same clarity at home. First fortnight: settle your food rhythm (kitchen, tiffin, or a mix), join the residents' group, and give yourself one proper weekend outing — WTP or the old city — so Jaipur starts feeling like your city rather than just your posting.

Living Well Beyond the Commute
